Community Upliftment
We believe that conservation works hand in hand with community upliftment.
Community Upliftment Key Focus

- Community Development through conservation training and commercial enterprise (indigenous tree nurseries, bee pollination, community gardens and wattle eradication)
- Animal welfare and rehabilitation with affiliated organisations
Current & Past Projects
Herbertsdale Primary School
Gondwana Conservation Foundation supports the local Herbertsdale Primary school and its fantastic teachers and students. Gondwana Game Reserve is proud to employ several of its graduates. Gondwana Game Reserve has supported the school through the building a new jungle gym, repair of their entrance road, painting of the school and a new tennis net for their court. We are proud to have sponsored their Tug of War team at the national championships in 2013.
Mossel Bay SPCA
On Nelson Mandela Day in 2012 and 2013 Gondwana’s team helped to improve the local SPCA facilities. The team helped to build fences for the horse paddocks, mowed the lawns, fixed up the cages and got to spend time with the rescued animals. It is always an amazing day enjoyed by all!
